I ran into Cate’s mom today and it reminded me how much fun I had spending the afternoon with the precious family and their neighbors. Happy Tuesday!

I know from previous experience that an invitation to stay with Gi’s family means one thing: churrasco. Kadu mans the grill and makes sure there is cold beer and hot bossa nova. Marilza plans every other detail – no guest of hers ever wants for a thing. The only problem: they’re camera shy. (I’m working on wearing them down.) In the mean time, here’s a taste of Brazil…

these are amazing… gorgeous photos… the food looks tantalizing!
Hilary! These photos are beautiful!
AMAZING PICS!!!!!!!
Photos make me hungry. I can almost smell the smokey goodness.
First, looks amazing. Second, s jealous. And last, but not in any way the least, the photos are gorgeous.
Yum!
I was at the Photography Workshops in Santa Fe having the time of my life in a workshop taught by Doug Merriam. This week I took a look at the newsletter they send out and saw that my former roommate had the featured photograph – she just finished another workshop there. I sent her an email and hopefully we’ll both be back there again – soon! Reid and the entire staff do an amazing job… I can’t say enough wonderful things about the workshops.
I decided to take a look back and couldn’t help posting my favorite shots of the week. On the last day we could choose our models and I, of course, jumped at the chance to photograph the furriest (and most vertically challenged) model, Louie. These pictures still crack me up. He definitely has star quality, n’est-ce pas?
I owe a big thank you to the amazingly talented (and patient) Sara Bielecki for loaning me her muse. Enjoy!

Speaking of dogs – you’re capturing the dogs life in Old Town Alexandria in Patch.com viewfinder. Love the St Patrick’s Day dogs!
I’m not even a small dog fan but Louie has a big dog personality — at least as captured by your photos. Great job
LOVE IT!!!!!!! Too cute and the pics capture all of his “cuteness”!
oops, hit post too soon -meant to add -and great shots Hilary!! You captured his little doggie spirit well.
This dog is freaking adorable -I bet he could take the boys and still have some mojo left over.
How precious is this little one? I caught this her practicing her footwork out in the yard with Dad. I see a lot of potential there! Can’t wait to watch her progress…

Beautiful shots.
I know I’m a little prejudiced…I mean this is the the first official engagement session I’ve shot. But Erin and Rocky are the cutest couple ever. Really. You heard it here first.
They’re getting married in Maryland in September but wanted their engagement photo shoot in DC since this is where they met. Erin is an architect and I thought the Lincoln Memorial seemed like a good place to start. Of course, it was President’s Day weekend, so 47 million other people had the same idea! But you’d never know it. Trust me, when these two are together they only have eyes for each other.
